# Creating A New Tipline

[Tiplines](/reference-material/glossary.md#tipline) make it easy for anyone to report problematic content without having to go to the Junkipedia website or set up an account. Organizations using Junkipedia can create tiplines to be shared with their constituents.

The first thing you should do before creating a new tipline is to decide what [type of tipline](/getting-started/setting-up-tiplines.md#tipline-types) you want to create. Next, [go to the "Manage Tiplines" page](/getting-started/setting-up-tiplines.md#go-to-manage-tiplines-page) and check what tiplines are already defined for your organization. From there, you will be able to see all of your current tiplines. Some default tiplines may already have been created for you when your organization was added to Junkipedia. The instructions for creating a new tipline continue below and vary by tipline type.

### New Web, Email, or API Tipline

The following types of tiplines can be created with the "New Tipline" button on the "Manage Tiplines" page:

* Web
* Email
* SMS
* Whatsapp
* Facebook Messenger
* Instagram
* Slack
* API
* Extension

### The "New Tipline" Form

Selecting "New Tipline" will bring you to the form shown below. Do not modify anything in this form until instructed to do so. Do not use this form to initiate the creation of a new Whatsapp or Slack tipline.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.junkipedia.org/getting-started/setting-up-tiplines/creating-a-new-tipline.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
