Preparing A Response

PreviousDescribing A NarrativeNextMaking A Narrative Public

Last updated 1 year ago

When a narrative experiences increasing engagement on a divisive topic, the fact based resources necessary to prepare a response become more valuable. Narratives in Junkipedia have two fields useful for preparing a response. One is a Response Checklist field in which to compose arguments that counter the narrative. The other is a list of Coverage Links referring to articles that confront the narrative. These fields can be used in combination with the fact check links contained in specific issues to confront specific problematic content as well as the overarching narrative behind it.

Response Checklist

The response checklist is a rich text field that can be edited from the . This is a place to gather analysis and form arguments that can be used to dispel misinformation related to the narrative. The rich text includes the ability to create hyperlinks to other web sources.

Go to the following narrative and open it with the edit button to see a good example of a response checklist:

Coverage Links

Before you've had time to conduct fact checking research and form your own well reasoned response to an emerging narrative, you find useful article written by trusted sources. You can use the Coverage Links field to store links to these articles. You may find it useful later to use some of these as hyperlinks within arguments added to the Response Checklist.

Go to the following narrative and open it with the edit button to see a good example coverage links:
